HAVE A BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS
As Christians we acknowledge that Jesus is the reason for the Christmas Season. However, as followers of Christ He is much more than the reason for a season—Jesus is our life!
In John 10:10 Jesus said, “..I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” In Vs. 28 Jesus said, “I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish.” And furthermore in John 11:25 Jesus declared, “I am the resurrection and the life.”
At Christmas we celebrate Christ's coming to earth as a baby in a manger, but as we know this baby, the very Son of God, became a man and then laid down His life for us at Calvary. The Christ of Calvary purchased us with His own blood so that we could experience new, abundant and eternal life through Him.
His life in us does not end with a passing season, but extends into the New Year and indeed until we are with our blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for all eternity. Christmas becomes a joyous Season when we remember Jesus is the reason for our celebration.
However, as we enter the New Year may that inner joy continue to be celebrated day by day since Christ has redeemed us and given us new life in Him. We pray that God's richest blessings may be upon each of you as together we celebrate Jesus—the giver of life!
